PFLAG Niceville is looking for volunteers to join its leadership team. We're happy to have anyone help with any skills. Joining our volunteer team is a great way to give back to the LGBTQ+ community in our area, meet new people, and build new skills.

Secretary
PFLAG Niceville is looking for a secretary to join its volunteer leadership team!
Would you like to give back to the LGBTQ+ community in our area? Come join the PFLAG Niceville Leadership Team! In addition to the secretary position, you can help us with whatever specific talents and skills you already possess.
The volunteer position will include joining our monthly leadership meeting (1 hour via Zoom). You will update the agenda for the meeting, take notes during the meeting, and follow up with people who took assignments. Our primary program is a monthly support meeting for LGBTQ+ people, friends, and allies. We also plan and support other events and advocacy.
Social Media coordinator
The social media coordinator will help engage with the community by posting support meeting reminders and other content to our social media channels.
Most of the Facebook and Instagram posts can be scheduled ahead of time using Meta Business Suite. It's easy to use and a great way to learn new skills. We'll teach you how to use it, or you can manually post the updates.
The social media coordinator will:
Post/schedule support meeting reminders for both our Niceville and Crestview support meetings.
Cross-post content to both Facebook and Instagram (automatically via Meta Business Suite).
Post content for events, meetups, and more as requested by the leadership team.
Manually share the support meeting reminders into the Okaloosa LGBTQ+ Facebook group to ensure a full audience is reached.
Anything else you would like to do and/or improve!
Graphic Designer
The graphic designer will help create digital and print content for PFLAG Niceville. This will include items for social meida and our Pride events.
Public Relations Coordinator
The public relations coordinator will help write content for our Pride events and other activities. and reach out to local news outlets.
Facilitators
Facilitators help run our support meetings by coming up with topics of discussions to help our community. Free training is provided by PFLAG National. Please attend a PLAG Niceville support meeting to learn more.
